Knitted sweater – CrazyBrioche (2-color version + cuffs)

#CRAZYBRIOCHESWEATER  let your imagination run wild:)
A few words from the author
#CrazyBriocheSweater is the fulfillment of my dreams of summoning the sun, even when there are clouds outside. Depending on your skills, you can make it in 2, 3 or even 4 colors (separate patterns in the collection). No matter what size you wear or how tall you are, I will guide you step by step to a sweater that will express your temperament. I have described the pattern so that the sweater is double-sided, which gives even more styling possibilities.

The project was made of FOG yarn

    Description

We start working on CrazyBrioche from the cuff of the left sleeve, in the round, we separate the front and back, then we go through the body, working flat, we join the sweater in the round again and finish with the right cuff. Then we finish the neckline and at the end with the bottom cuff we finally adjust the length of the sweater.

This is a project for intermediate and advanced people. The construction is simple, but the two-color patent stitch (brioche) requires some practice. Of course, I am including a tutorial package on YouTube with the pattern, so you will be able to catch up on the missing skills.

The photographs present #CrazyBriocheSweater madness to the square in the version: madness as possible – with cuffs in color 1 and brioche stripes in colors 2 and 3.

The pattern is described for the continental method. If you use the eastern method, please take this into account when working on the project.

    TECHNIQUE AND STITCHES
To make #CrazyBriocheSweater, it is useful to know the following
    techniques:
    – 2-color brioche stitch
    – knotted edge
    – ribbing with twisted right or left stitches
    – increasing stitches by lifting, from the crosswise thread and by yarn over
    – increasing and reducing stitches in the 2-color brioche stitch.

If you do not know all of them, you can use the tutorials on YouTube: a video showing the technique for making a 2-color brioche can be found HERE , links to all useful tutorials can be found HERE

    ACCESSORIES

To make #CrazyBriocheSweater you will need:
    – knitting needles (fixed or interchangeable) 60 cm or 80 cm in size 9 mm
    – knitting needles (fixed or interchangeable) 60 cm or 80 cm in size 6.5 mm; if you don’t like the magic loop method, you will also need 6.5 mm sock knitting needles
    – 2 markers (knitting markers); these should ideally be snap-in safety pins that can be moved or fastened to the eyelet if necessary, but you can easily replace them with a piece of thread in a contrasting colour
    – thread or spare string to put the stitches away
    – a knitting needle to close the stitches using the cylindrical method and hide the threads
    – a piece of thread and a crochet hook in size approx. 6 mm to cast on the stitches using the tubular cast on method; these can be omitted if you prefer the Italian cast on method.
