PROJECT DESCRIPTION
During work, you will mostly encounter right-hand stitches, but there are also some left-hand ones at the beginning – just for variety. The main decoration is the puffy sleeves and minimalist i-cord finishes.
This is a project for intermediate users, there are no great knitting acrobatics here, but I definitely do not recommend this dress for the first time. Mainly because of the i-cord and the construction. However, if you have experience in sewing and are familiar with the construction of the garment, then even if you have little experience with knitting needles, you will definitely manage.
#PurrMeMore in the sweater version is a project made from the top, the sleeves are cast on from the body, so the sweater does not require sewing. Thanks to this, we can measure it while making it and – if necessary – correct it on an ongoing basis.
The pattern is described for the continental method. If you are using the eastern method, please take this into account when working on the project.
TECHNIQUES AND STITCHES
To make #PurrMeMore in the sweater version, it is useful to know the following techniques (if you do not know all of them, you can use the tutorials on YouTube, the link is included with the pattern):
jersey/stocking stitch, i.e. knit stitches on the right side and purl stitches on the left side
knotted edge
i-cord – a method of closing stitches, thanks to which an elegant roll is created
increasing stitches by lifting and yarn over
reducing stitches.

YARN AND ACCESSORIES
To make #PurrMeMore in the sweater version, you will need:
80 cm or 100 cm circular needles in sizes 5.5 mm and 8 mm;
5.5 mm sock needles – they will be very useful for making i-cord cuffs (you can do without them, but it will definitely make the work more difficult) – and an additional 8 mm for the i-cord at the neckline (you can do without these, but if you have such needles, they will make making this element easier and faster);
2 markers (knitting markers);
2 safety pins (you can replace them with 2 pieces of thread);
a knitting needle to sew the i-cord and hide the threads.
Yarn requirements depending on the size of the SWEATSHIRT:
The values given are calculated for a sleeve length of up to 64 cm. If you need longer sleeves, add an additional skein of yarn.
TAKE MEASUREMENT
The photo above shows all the important dimensions on the sweater to better visualize their location. It is best to measure with a tape measure.
A – shoulder width/sleeve spacing
Measure the width of your shoulders from collarbone to collarbone, running the tape across your back, from one joint to the other (it is a good idea to ask someone to help you) – this will be value A. The dress has puffs and if you have very wide shoulders in relation to the rest of your figure, you can reduce this value by 1-2 cm, but remember to later measure the length of the sleeve E from this corrected position.
B – chest circumference
Measure your chest circumference, on inhalation, at the widest point. This will be the value that determines size B.
C – waist
Measure your waist circumference, at its narrowest point, usually 2-5 cm above your belly button. Measure yourself standing up straight, don’t pull in, but don’t push out your stomach either (the sweater has a slight waistline, but leaves room for good food). This will be the value that determines size C.
D – hips
Measure the width of your hips at their widest point – this will be our D value.
E – sleeve length
Measure the length from your collarbone to where the sleeve is supposed to end. It’s up to you whether it’s 7/8 or all the way to your wrist. The tape should be placed on the outside of your arm and measured with your elbow bent. This will be our E value – sleeve length.
F – sweater length
Measure the length from your shoulders to where the bottom of the dress is supposed to end. I would recommend a length of at least to the knees, but it’s up to you to decide how long YOUR sweater should reach. The tape should be run along the back. Depending on this value, we read the size F
