    WOOL CLOTHING CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We know that many of you do not decide to buy natural yarns for fear of felting, stretching and the general difficulty of maintaining them. In practice, however, it is not that difficult and can bring you a lot of satisfaction. We will describe to you point by point how to care for your projects, so if you want your clothes to look like new, stick to the instructions below. Let’s start with the fact that clothes made of sheep wool or other animal fibers, in the case of not too dirty, it is enough to air them well. This is because wool fibers have a scaly structure, which makes it much more difficult to get dirty. Wool also does not absorb odors.

    AIRING

We recommend doing this on humid days. Wool will absorb moisture and then release it, which will keep it fresh.

    One way:

    1. Lay your clothes out horizontally on a clothes dryer, outdoors, preferably on a humid day or night.

    2. After a few hours or the next day, move the clothes dryer indoors.

    3. Once the clothes are dry, put them on a shelf. (DO NOT HANG THEM ON HANGERS)

    Hand wash

If you want to wash your clothes, here is one way:1. Prepare two bowls of water (at least 10 liters of water in each) at a temperature of 25-30 degrees, add a little wool detergent to one (wool does not like detergents. Never use fabric softener. 2. Place the clothes in a bowl with wool detergent and gently massage the clothes for about 2 minutes, treat them with love. Do not stretch, do not rub the clothes against each other. 3. Gently transfer the clothes to the second bowl with only water and repeat the procedure. 4. Gently pull it out to the place with the water drain, gently squeeze the first water out of it. Then place it on a previously prepared soft, absorbent towel and wrap the clothes in it, pat it down and leave for fifteen minutes.(leaving clothes wet for too long can cause them to stretch or deform, so choose a warm day to wash woolen clothes.) 5. Lay the dry clothes out horizontally on a dryer a towel or a small mesh for drying clothes – if you have one so that the clothes dry on both sides at the same time.6. Spread the pre-dried clothes on a towel or mesh. Give it the desired shape. In the case of a towel, turn the clothes over after a few hours so that they dry evenly on both sides.7. Do not dry directly on radiators!8. Fold the dried clothes nicely and place them on a shelf. (DO NOT HANG ON HANGERS)Stick to these rules and your woolen clothes will serve you for years.Recommended hand washing for yarns: BABY ALPACA, ECO and COLORFUL BABY BRUSHED, MY TIME MERINO, FINE HIGHLAND WOOL, FINE PERUVIAN WOOL, BABY SIL YAK, KROOPA WOOL. In the case of FINE MERINO WOOL, you can wash it in the washing machine, with a small amount of wool detergent on the wool program. Dry flat as described above.
